Finds: New York City Shopping & Then Some...

   Hello, all!
   What's better than amassing all of the goodies you've picked up on a shopping trip, admiring your latest additions, and figuring outfits in your head?  As I mentioned in my last post, Dre & I went shopping in New York City for my birthday.  While my birthday is on the 10th (2 more days... YAY!), I wanted to shop for myself before hand.  We stayed mostly in Soho.  It wasn't exactly the easiest shopping experience I've had, but the hectic craze and super packed stores didn't deter me from making a few sweet purchases.
   While I may, or may not, be done birthday shopping, I'd say I'm 100% happy with what I got! My favorite pick-up?  My new purse!  It's bright, the perfect size, embellished with a few studs and... well, take a look!

i purchased this pretty at saks (you never fail me, saks). yes, soho... your packed upon packed stores drove me up to a quieter saks where i picked up a lovely addition to my handbag collection. take that, soho.

i've been stud happy for a while & this gives in to my craving without overdoing it. just a little stud dusting on the handle. no more... no less

alex and ani is such a cute shop.  when you walk in, there are bracelets upon bracelets upon bracelets. & you know me... i love me some arm candy.  i picked up two (three actually... but one was just a double of the "what's for you will not pass you," which i gave to my little sister)

i love these single-charm bangles so very much. this one is especially meaningful to me and my sister.  in the past three years, we've dealt with a lot of heartbreak and obstacles, one of which completely changed the course of our lives.  this bangle is the perfect message for me and my little sis to keep on our wrists because it reminds us to persevere... the back of the card reads, "Your life is destined for greatness. Obstacles will inevitably come your way. Greet them with patience and hard work. Allow the light of fated opportunities to spill through, live in fearlessness, and remember that what’s meant for you will not pass you." pretty powerful message if you ask me

this bangle is sweet, huh? the card reads, "An object representing light and air, a feather is the bearer of truth and justice. Ancient Egyptians believed a pure heart weighed as light as a feather. In Christianity, feathers represent virtues of charity,hope, and faith. Bestow the feather to seek wisdom and reach new heights." i'm a free-spirit and while i may get bogged down by everyday life now and then, this feather will be a reminder to stay light and let life whisk me on an adventure

two tops i picked up @ brandy melville.  both are sheer and floral.  in fact everything i purchased (clothes-wise) was printed.

i fell for this top when we walked in the door. i then had to climb over gaggles of girls to get to it. it's sheer, a little cropped and has a cut out back. what more could i want!

i love my leather-wrap watch. so naturally, i'd love a leather wrap bracelet. this one from brandy melville is perfect for me. not too thick, not too many studs and it's black. i love black and i love this

top shop was also packed... i didn't get much of a chance to look around. it was that scary. even for dre, the men's department was so full, the line for the dressing room was so long and well... it was a bit disastrous. nevertheless... i still found these :)

now i didn't get these items in the city. i actually got them at my local pacsun the next day. yes, pacsun... i'm telling you, that store is no longer for teenage surfers and skaters. there are some items there that are very free-people-esque. give it a chance. it may surprise you! & finally... a peplum dress. & it's printed. it was on sale for $21 and the pullover? it was $12. i love a good deal

i wouldn't wear these all together, but i clearly had bracelets on the brain. all in all... i think i got a number of great items to add a little change up to what i've already got!
